Elements to work on while doing App Store Optimization

Developing your app is good, but are you the only person who is doing this? The crowded app-store market has 3 million apps in Google Play and 2.2 million in the App Store – that means thousands of new apps every day, meaning that your rankings will go down exponentially with the exposure you will get. It is indeed to say that you want to stay on top: higher rankings mean more downloads and more revenue for the organization.

As of the first quarter of 2020, Android users were able to choose between 2.56 million apps, making Google Play the app store with biggest number of available apps. Apple’s App Store was the second-largest app store with almost 1.85 million available apps for iOS, as per the Statista.

However, if you are a new kid on the block or indie developer, it isn’t easy to appear and stay in the top rankings, given the big names roaming around the App Store. You are small fish in a big pond, and you need to be competitive, else your app will last 5 minutes and can forget soon.

So, the question on everyone’s lips is how you can make your app successful in a low budget?

Answer: App Store Optimization (ASO). It is like SEO, but for mobile applications. This is usually overlooked, but in real ways, it is crucial if you want to stand tall. It enables your app with the visibility that leads to growing organically. What is more, it will give a boost to your user base too.

So, what do can we do while doing the ASO?

-Keywords Identification:

Look at the keywords relevant for your apps, how constant a certain word searched for in the app store, and if it will take your app on top position.
